As a Concrete Materials Researcher, you will work on developing and optimizing eco-friendly concrete admixtures to address microbiologically influenced corrosion (C-MIC) in wastewater and infrastructure systems. Your work will directly contribute to improving durability, sustainability, and long-term performance of critical assets.
You will lead experimental and analytical work focused on concrete materials, admixture design, and performance evaluation. Your research will support the development of sustainable solutions for corrosion-resistant infrastructure systems.
• Evaluate and characterize raw materials and feedstocks for eco-friendly concrete production
• Design and develop concrete admixtures to mitigate biodeterioration and corrosion (C-MIC)
• Conduct laboratory and field experiments, including casting, curing, and performance testing
• Analyze material behavior under varying environmental and operational conditions
• Perform technical and economic evaluations of admixture performance
• Prepare technical reports, research publications, and documentation
• Present findings at technical conferences and industry workshops
• Collaborate with engineering and research teams to align solutions with real-world applications
Your work will directly support the development of corrosion-resistant, sustainable concrete systems, addressing critical infrastructure challenges in wastewater and industrial environments.
You will contribute to solutions that improve durability, reduce lifecycle costs, and enhance environmental performance.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Concrete Engineering, or related field
• Experience in concrete materials, admixture design, or infrastructure systems
• Strong background in experimental research and data analysis
• Experience in technical reporting and proposal development
Technical Skills:
• Knowledge of concrete testing methods and engineering standards
• Familiarity with material characterization and performance evaluation
• Understanding of durability and corrosion mechanisms in concrete systems
• Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant field
• Experience with eco-friendly or alternative feedstock-based concrete materials
• Background in wastewater or infrastructure corrosion challenges
